Cheap 3D Printer Raises $1 Million in Kickstarter in a Day

3D printers are tools that allow users to create almost any object right in there home. They can be used to print small toys, weird shaped foods, figurines, jewelry, and replacement parts for almost any object around the house.

A company by the name of M3D has started a Kickstarter for “the first truly consumer 3d printer”. They asked for $50,000 and are now close to $2 million dollars in funding. It shows how hungry consumers are for affordable tech that has many uses and potential.

This compact device weighs close to 2.2 pounds and can be used right out of the box. It’s only 7.3 inches per side, USB compatible, and supports open source software for more tech savvy users.
